Prom Night

Enjoying the view at Formby Hall

I will link this with Michelle at Mummy from the heart but this hasn’t been the best week so not doing an actual R2BC but I do have this day to show you all.

Reasons to be Cheerful at Mummy from the Heart

I know that recently someone wrote a blog post regarding these nights and the pressures it can put on people, I have been saving for this night for a couple of years as we knew it was coming and I also knew it was expensive, but I am so glad I did, My 16yr old is not the best person in the world for showing emotion (well except for teenage angst)  so to get hugs and kisses of her on 2 occasions this evening, it was worth every penny.

Enjoy the photos, I hope you can see she was happy ( a slight smile is happy ;)…). Her partner for the evening is a young Man born 4 days before her and they have been through school together and are wonderful friends, He was a proper gentleman and brought her a present.

Just look at everyone 🙂 They made a grand entrance x

I made her a cake, my friend made her a Sweet-Sweet tree ( which I thought was amazing) and A local Lady made her a knitted mouse in a dress as close as she could make it to the style x

White chocolate buttons, drizzled with dark chocolate and decorated with Butterflys, top is a heart and a ball shape in the middle, amazing and beautiful work x

I handmade the roses, no cutters used, I have been teaching myself these and this was 3rd attempt, I’m very pleased with them I got the effect I wanted, which was a wild rose xxx

Dress purchased from Karen Taylors of Southport

Trike Hired from Hogfathers, Southport

  1. Wow and wow again. What a stunning looking daughter you have there and I LOVE that dress! Looks like she really was the Belle of the ball, you must have been so proud. Ah yes, roses very cool too, wish I could do that, I am asked to make cakes all the time but my icing lets me down.

  2. Wow! She looked amazing you should be proud. I need to start saving now for 8 years time 😉
